Malachor: I wish to speak briefly of activism, and societal unrest, and those in a position of power.
All that you see around you is evolution. It is the growing pains of humanity that you encounter, and certainly growing pains can often appear as unpredictable, as chaotic, as messy, as painful, but all serve the same purpose as growth. Sometimes growth goes faster and sometimes it goes slower.
You are in a time of great growth and deep transformation and a changing of the guard from the old to the new. So this growth may feel and seem particularly painful at times, and those in power often represent that old guard. They do sometimes what they think is right, and other times what they think is necessary to continue the old guard, because they are fearful of change – as so many people are – of loss of power, of the way of life slipping away. They fear deep, meaningful connection, which is more the way of the new guard.
So there are those who recognise – without understanding – this fear, and how to work with it and manipulate it to their own ends in attempting to preserve the old guard. They do not realize what they do.
A few may be able to change, may be able to understand, may be able to transform, but many others would prefer to remain set in their ways.
So by speaking out, consistently, with love yet with firmness, and taking action, with love yet with firmness, communicating that certain things are no longer acceptable and they are not working, the ones in power who will not change will simply fall by the wayside. This may take time, but it is happening.
Each person must decide where they fit in the process of change. Some protest. Some organize. Some speak. Some write. Some run for office. Some hold house parties. All of these actions are certainly needed, but not all actions are right for all people.
So each person must do the inner work of understanding themselves, and who they are, and what makes them passionate, and what their unique spark ignites in them. Do the [spiritual] practices and take action from that place.
It takes all generations – not just millennials, not just Generation X, not just Baby Boomers – all generations working together across ages, across incomes, across races, across genders, across belief systems, across national boundaries, and as people soften to work across these boundaries, you will continue to realize your commonalities, and eventually your oneness, and that is the ultimate transformation that you seek.
